Michael Krump, Doctor of Dental Surgery
We love it here in Rapid City! It is a beautiful place to live and a terrific place to raise a family. I have 3 children of my own. We are always on the go it seems with school and sporting events like football, basketball and track and field. In summer you will find us down at the Canyon Lake Little League and ASA softball fields. We also try to sneak in a camping trip or two and a visit to Denver and the wave pool!
My educational background began in 1985 at the University of Mary. I graduated from there with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1989. I also attended the North Dakota State School of Respiratory Care concurrently and became a Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner in 1989 and finally a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner in 1990. I spent a year at North Dakota State University studying Philosophy and Classical Languages from 1989-1990, then I began working at St. Luke’s Hospital in Fargo, ND. While I was there, I practiced in the Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Units until 1991 when I transferred to the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. There I assisted Cardiologists in the performance of angioplasties and the placement of stents in the blood vessels of the heart. It was fascinating work, but I was drawn to the dental field when I discovered the wide variety of procedures dentists perform and the relationships they have with their patients. In 1996, I decided to enter dental school at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. I graduated from there with a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2000 and moved to Rapid City in June of 2000.
We all need a trusted advocate who has our best interest at heart. I feel like our staff does an exceptional job of providing our patients with the information and guidance they need to make informed decisions that effect their health and well being. Knowing that our patients feel comfortable with their dental care provides a great deal of personal satisfaction for all of us at Downtown Dental Services. Welcome to our patient family!

Amy Glanzer, Registered Dental Hygienist
I have been practicing dental hygiene since 1994. Rapid City is home for my husband and our two children, with a 5 year detour to the Twin CIties. During my career, I have been able to work in general dentistry and a periodontal practice. In 2005, I joined Dr. Krump in his practice. I truly enjoy helping our patients achieve and maintain their optimum dental health. Our goal at Downtown Dental Services is for each patient to understand their individual treatment plan and their options. Each day I look at our schedule and am excited to either see a familiar name , ready to catch up on children, jobs or just life or see a new name that can be the start of a great relationship. I appreciate the opportunity to practice dentistry with our staff and especially our patients.

The best part of my job is getting to know our patients and their families.
I have lived in Rapid City since 1991. My husband and I have two boys who keep us busy. We enjoy spending our time outdoors, boating, motorcycle riding, and having a passion for classic cars. |
